Anointed Word for 2009

2009 – the year of GRACE upon GRACE!!!

John 1:16,17 – “For out of His FULLNESS (abundance) we have all received [all had a share and we were all supplied with] ONE GRACE AFTER ANOTHER and spiritual blessing upon blessing and even favor upon favor and gift [heaped] upon gift. For while the Law was given through Moses, GRACE (unearned, undeserved favor and spiritual blessing) and truth came through JESUS CHRIST.

The true stride of a Christian’s walk is “GRACE UPON GRACE”. Grace is what Christianity is all about! It is by GRACE and GRACE alone that we are saved and made members of this awesome family of God. In His absolute wisdom and goodness, Father God has destined all mankind to be part of His family. And the only way this could be accomplished was by GRACE.

RISE UP AND BECOME POWERFUL!!!

Isaiah 60:1 – “ARISE [from the depression and prostration in which circumstances have kept you – RISE TO A NEW LIFE]! SHINE (be radiant with the glory of the Lord), for your light has come, and the GLORY of the Lord has risen upon you!”

A GRACE GENERATION!!!

There is a NEW GENERATION of believers arising — a generation that builds their hope on the abundance of God’s grace and the gift of His righteousness! A new covenant people that reign in a New covenant way! Since we are “not under the law, but under GRACE” (Rom.6:14) “Christ is the end of the law…for everyone who believes” (Rom.10:4) The old covenant focus was on performance, and Jesus’ performance on the cross completely satisfied the Father. God looks on His Son and through Him accepts us! IT IS DONE!!!

The New covenant focus is not on performance, but on POSITION! Rom.5:17 – “For if because of one man’s trespass (lapse, offense) death reigned through that one, much more surely those who receive [God’s] OVERFLOWING GRACE (unmerited favor) and the FREE GIFT OF RIGHTEOUSNESS [putting them into right standing with Himself] REIGN AS KINGS IN LIFE through the ONE MAN JESUS CHRIST (the Messiah, the Anointed One). Through the cross Jesus has lifted us up into a REIGNING POSITION. We are seated with Christ in HEAVENLY PLACES (Eph.2:6), and are ACCEPTED in the One God loves (Eph.1:6) When the Father sees His Son’s choice of Bride, He APPROVES and AGREES that we were CHOSEN for Jesus from the foundation of the world. (Eph.1:4, 2 Cor.11:2) Reigning in life flows from receiving God’s abundant provision of GRACE and of the gift of RIGHTEOUSNESS. (2 Cor.5:21).

This generation’s believe-system is centered on the pure GOSPEL OF GRACE, based on the finished work of Jesus Christ on the cross. They move in a strong Apostolic BREAKTHROUGH anointing, ministering healing and prophetic words, etc, by the gifts of the Holy Spirit. This revelation of God’s Grace enable them to set many people free from guilt, shame and condemnation, and causes them to fall in love with Jesus afresh as they see His love, goodness and grace made manifest!

They have a God given assignment to build the Church on the finished work of Jesus Christ, their focus being on unveiling the person of Jesus and liberating people with the new covenant realities based entirely on the cross of Calvary.

Their desire is to help this generation of Christians realize how greatly blessed, highly favored and deeply loved they are by their Father in heaven, in order that they may be blessed to become a blessing!
To them, this gospel is the good news message of the FINISHED WORK OF THE CROSS OF JESUS CHRIST, and everything He accomplished for ALL men for ALL time through the grace, goodness, mercy, love and forgiveness of God. (The good news does not point out what is wrong with you. It is about what is RIGHT with you because of the finished work of the cross of Jesus Christ, in spite of what is wrong with you!) The gospel is the power of God unto salvation, or wholeness in every area of life! (Rom.1:16)

They have a passion to see people established in the grace, love, mercy and peace of God, and have a desire to see leaders in all spheres of life established in this message of grace and goodness. Knowing that you are accepted and loved will change your life forever, and enable YOU to reach out to others with this wonderful news. Preaching the Gospel of Peace, God's unconditional love and mercy to build, repair and restore those who are suffering and broken-hearted.

GRACE DEFINED:

Grace in the Greek = “CHARIS” (khar’-ece)
-graciousness (as gratifying), especially the divine influence upon the heart, -acceptable, benefit, favour, gift, joy liberality, pleasure, thank (-s, -worthy). – “Charis” causes REJOICING!!! Thayer Definition = that which affords joy, pleasure, delight, sweetness, charm, loveliness…good will, loving-kindness, favour, benefit, bounty, thanks, reward.

So what is grace? It is given as a ‘gift’ or free gift i.e: it cannot be PAID for! A definition would be that grace is: “God’s ability working in the heart of a believer, enabling him to do that which he naturally could not do.”

Grace is the power of God to meet our needs and solve our problems.

Grace enables us to be ALL that God has called us to be. (without Grace we are left with only striving and hopeless effort to attain what only GOD can give us…) Grace is God’s promise to do for us what we CANNOT do for ourselves.

Grace is God’s POWER, motivated by His MERCY, working to fulfill His COMPASSION. Grace is a free gift.
Grace has paid for ALL sin.
Grace is the Person of Jesus dying on the Cross.
Grace is Unmerited FAVOUR and Undeserved BLESSING.

Grace is pure JOY or pleasure.
Grace is God's Riches at Christ's expense.
Grace cannot be earned or achieved.
Grace is received by faith.

Rom 4:16 - “Therefore, [inheriting] the promise is the outcome of FAITH and depends [entirely] on FAITH, in order that it might be given as an act of GRACE (unmerited favor), to make it stable and valid and guaranteed to all his descendants--not only to the devotees and adherents of the Law, but also to those who share the faith of Abraham, who is [thus] the father of us all.”

Paul teaches us that this wonderful GRACE depends entirely on FAITH:
1. Faith is perceiving as real fact what is not revealed to the senses.
2. Faith is the leaning of the entire human personality on God in absolute trust and confidence in His power, wisdom, and goodness.

Eph. 2:4-8 – “But God-so rich is He in His Mercy! Because of and in order to satisfy the great and wonderful and intense love with which He loved us, Even when we were dead (slain) by [our own] shortcomings and trespasses, He made us alive together in fellowship and in union with Christ; [He gave us the very life of Christ Himself, the same new life with which He quickened Him, for] it is by GRACE (His favor and mercy which you did not deserve) that you are saved (delivered from judgment and made partakers of Christ’s salvation). And He raised us up together with Him and made us sit down together (giving us joint seating with Him) in the heavenly sphere [by virtue of our being] in Christ Jesus (the Messiah, the Anointed One). He did this that He might clearly demonstrate through the ages to come the immeasurable (limitless, surppassing) riches of His FREE GRACE (His unmerited favor) in [His] kindness and goodness of heart toward us in Christ Jesus. For it is by FREE GRACE (God’s unmerited favor) that you are saved (delivered from judgment and made partakers of Christ’s salvation) through [your] FAITH. And this [salvation] is not of yourselves [of your own doing, it came not through your own striving], but it is the GIFT OF GOD; Not because of works [not the fulfillment of the law’s demands], lest any man should boast. [It is not the result of what anyone could possibly do, so no one can pride himself in it or take glory to himself.]

Paul says that Grace saved us “through FAITH”... Faith unlocks the power of grace and releases it to function in our world. Faith in itself is another gift of God. The difference between both gifts is this: the GRACE-gift must be activated by the FAITH-gift. GRACE WORKS THROUGH FAITH. We must believe that God is a GOOD GOD! We must believe that God is “RICH IN MERCY.” We must accept that as true that God loves us with “GREAT LOVE.” We must not doubt that He ATONED for “our Transgressions.” We must be confident we are “ALIVE TOGETHER WITH CHRIST.” Believing the words of GRACE unlocks the power of grace; the POWER OF GRACE to fully transform us comes through FAITH. The same grace that initially turned our hearts to Christ , continues to work in us, transforming even our sufferings and trials into virtue and power.

Paul celebrated this GRACE, cherished this GRACE, and dedicated his entire ministry to the cause of presenting the GRACE message! He wanted us to know that God did what He did for us completely out of goodness and joy of His heart and without help from us or even by our request. We are allowed to enjoy forgiveness, restoration into fellowship with God, and an honored place in His family – all without having to do anything or without being able to do anything. Even the FAITH with which we receive Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour is given to us by God. Nothing we did, nor any of our efforts, enabled us to be saved. No good works! The whole christian life is not about us; it is THE GIFT OF GOD!!! If we are to grow in God, we must GROW IN GRACE.

Our becoming who we were created to be is the full manifestation of His grace in our everyday lives. Through the GRACE of God, we frail human beings become SUPERHUMAN vessels through which the power of God can flow to the world! Through God’s GRACE, believers can get free and stay free. Through God’s GRACE, believers can live in peace and harmony with others. More important, believers can be the living, vital, effective, and productive BODY OF CHRIST. Through God’s GRACE, believers live as though they will never die because they are alive FOREVER in Christ! We have the incredible adventure of appropriating His GRACE to become more and more like JESUS, to walk out the destiny He has set for us, and to be the light in this dark world.
